제목	혹시 콘향이나 스틱향이라고 들어 보셨나요?

얼마전 필요하기도 하고 호기심도 발동하고 해서 콘향을 구입하게 되었습니다.
이름이 다소 생소하실 것 같은데 모양이 아이스크림의 콘 형태로 되어 있다고 해서 그렇게 이름을 붙인 모양입니다.

이것은 우리 한방에서 사용하는 뜸의 원리하고 같습니다.
뜸에 불을 붙이듯 향에 불을 붙이면 일정 시간 동안 타들어가게 하는 것입니다.
그러면 그 속에 들어 있는 향이 공기 중으로 확산되면서 방향 효과가 있는 것인데 어떤 향을 사용하는가가 중요할 것 같습니다.

일단 불이 붙어 타는 재로는 어떤 것인지 잘 모르겠지만 모양은 밀랍으로 만든다고 합니다.
밀랍이 어떤 것인지는 잘 아시죠?

제가 사용해 본 사용기를 올려 볼까 합니다.

1. 생각보다 향이 진합니다. 사실 아로마 향이 좋긴합니다만 태워 보면 향이 아주 강하게 나거든요. 그래서 방향 효과가 좋습니다. 그런데 문제는 이 아로마 향이 정말 좋은 재료의 향인가 하는 점입니다. 그냥 일반 화학적 방향제를 사용한다고 하면 큰 의미가 없을 듯 한데 제 느낌으로는 화학적 방향제라는 느낌이 더 많이 들기도 합니다.

2. 어떤 이유에서인지는 모르겠지만 제조는 주로 태국 등지에서 한다고 합니다. 그쪽에서 이런 상품이 발달해서 그런가 싶기도 하고 정확히는 모르겠네요. 그러니 상품에 들어가는 향 재료가 좋은지 의문이 간다는 겁니다.

3. 향의 색깔과 아로마 향과는 무관합니다. 다른 회사 제품을 보면 통일되어 있지 않습니다.

4. 화제 위험성에 대비해야 할 것 같습니다. 자칫 화재로 연결될 수 있어서 반드시 사람이 있는 가운데 사용하고 탈 수 있는 물건은 주변에 없애야 할 것 같습니다.

5. 초기에는 연기에 의한 냄새 때문에 매운 느낌이 드는데 시간이 갈수록 아로마 향이 살아납니다. 그리고 2-3시간 정도 잔향이 남아 있어서 지속적으로 향이 납니다.

저는 하루 중 여러 차례 콘향을 태워 봅니다만 그런대로 괜찮은 것 같습니다.
향의 종류를 잘 선택해야 할 것 같기도 하더군요.
